Signs of Shalom: Spiritual Strength (Eph 6:10-20)
What's the real reason that brokenness and struggle are still the norm? Why is it that we don't experience more shalom? The reason, according to this last passage in the book of Ephesians, is that we are in a spiritual battle. There are forces at work that we cannot see. We need to gear up for battle. This morning we conclude our series on shalom as we look at how we stand strong in this mission for shalom.

Signs of Shalom: Submission and Authority (Eph 5:20-6:9)
We live in a world where authority structures are present. If we are children, we have parents. If we are employed, we have a boss. But the truth is that we struggle to submit to those in authority over us. This passage helps us learn how Christians are called to live in within these different spheres of submission and authority.

Signs of Shalom: Thirsting for Discipleship (Luke 14:25-33)
What does Jesus mean when he says that we have to hate our family in order to be his disciple. If that's the case, why would we want to be one? What does it actually mean to be one of Jesus' disciples?

Signs of Shalom: Celebration! (John 2:1-11)
In this famous story Jesus miraculously changed 150 gallons of ordinary water into the finest wine. What do we do with a story like this? Here at All Souls we think it has everything to do with our view of celebration and undergirds our theology of parties. Want a reason to celebrate? Give it a listen!

Signs of Shalom: Fearless Giving (Luke 12:13-34)
Jesus calls his followers to have a radically different attitude towards money than the surrounding culture. This week we consider how generosity connects to shalom.

A Vision for Racial Shalom - Unity in Diversity (1 Cor 12:12-31)
This week both our pastors went AWOL! While they are out of town, we continue to think about shalom with our friend, Mike Kelly. Mike is an elder in our sister church, Gallatin Valley Presbyterian Church, in Bozeman. Mike spends most of his time building relationships and bridges with Native American students on various college campuses.

Signs of Shalom: Transformation (Ephesians 4:17-32)
One of the primary ways God has given us to recognize a community of shalom is whether or not people are being transformed. As we embark on the season of Lent, it's important to step back and take a look at whether we are experiencing transformation.

Signs of Shalom: Unity (Ephesians 4:1-16)
Would you recognize shalom if you saw it happening? What are the signs? One of the signs, according to the Apostle Paul, is unity. But what does this word mean? Does it mean we that we all become robots? Or does it mean something else entirely?

The Priority of Grace (Ephesians 3:1-21)
This week we see how shalom is impossible unless the mystery of grace becomes a reality within our community. Unfortunately, we had technical difficulties with the recording and it is currently unavailable for download! Sorry.

Killing the Hostility (Ephesians 2:11-22)
Classic Christianity has always asserted something offensive to many of us - that all of us are sinners! If this is the case, how we do ever expect to practice shalom?

The Foundation of Shalom (Ephesians 2:1-10)
How do we start to be people of shalom? The apostle Paul insists that the biblical concept of shalom has everything to do with our spiritual state - somehow we must go from being spiritually "dead" to being spiritually "alive" if we are going to practice shalom. What does he mean by this? These are some the things we wrestle with in this sermon.

Reconciliation 101 (Ephesians 1:1-23)
How do we go about this whole reconciliation and shalom thing that we've been talking about? It all comes back to an attitude of gratitude. So how do we cultivate that kind of attitude?

The Purpose of the Church - Part 2 (2 Corinthians 5:16-6:2)
This is part 2 of Paul's words to the Corinthians concerning the Church's purpose. The Church is supposed to be building large buildings and trying to convert everyone, right? Actually, it's supposed to be about something radically different that is only possible if Christ is a real, resurrected person.

The Purpose of the Church (2 Cor 4-5)
Isn't the church the very thing that is wrong with religion? Isn't the church what makes Christianity so irrelevant to most of us today? What's the purpose of the church anyway?

The Purpose of Christ (Ephesians 2:10-22)
Last week we began our series on purpose by looking at God's purpose. We concluded that God's purpose is to bless the nations! How does he do it? By spending his children. This week we explore the purpose of Christ as the ultimate Son who was spent.
