Back to School Party

Hey folks, it's official! We're throwing a Back to School Party!

So whether you're heading back to school (or just glad you're NOT heading back to school!), this party is for you: scrumptious hawaiian-burgers hot off the grill, plenty of great beer and wine to wash it all down (would you believe we'll actually have our very own "All Souls House Ale" on tap this time - a custom homebrew by Beau McBryde and Jon Lewis!).

Wow. It should be a fabulous night! Especially if you join us! So here's the skinny...
  • WHEN: Friday, August 31, from 6:30 - 11 PM (or when everyone leaves)
  • WHERE: Christian & Marilyn's place (2307 River Road - look for the mailbox and turn down the alley. Parking on River Road or Luella Lane.)
  • WHAT TO BRING: Your favorite beverage (beer, wine or whatever) -OR- a side to go with burgers, -AND- a friend or two to enjoy it with!
If you've never been to one of our parties, here's your chance to see what you've been missing. It's a great way to catch up with people you haven't seen in a while, and it's a great way to introduce your friends to the All Souls community. Plus the food alone will be worth it!

These are family friendly affairs - and you're welcome to invite your friends! Please RSVP if you're in so we can have an idea how much food to prepare!

The Rhythm of Discipleship (John 15:1-17)

How do we live a truly fruitful life? Not just a life we can be proud of, but one where we love people the way Jesus did - "laying down our lives for our friends"? All of us probably catch glimmers of this in our lives, but how do we sustain this kind of living? Rhythm.

Becoming Like Peter - 4 (John 21:14-19)

How do you handle failure? More importantly, for followers of Jesus, how does Jesus handle failure? The answer probably won't surprise you (even if you aren't a Christian), but it just might inspire you to think about Him in a different way.

Becoming Like Peter - 3 (Mark 14:26-29; Luke 22:31-34, 54-62)

Broken promises are the cause of some of our most bitter moments in life. This was also true for the disciple, Peter who broke his promise to Jesus on the night that Jesus was betrayed. How does Jesus redeem broken promises?
