The Hope of Melchizedek (Hebrews 6:19-7:10)
Over the past few chapters the author of Hebrews has been teasing us with a reference to a mysterious Old Testament character named Melchizedek (his name literally means king of righteousness). But who is he? Why is he significant? And why is the author of Hebrews so infatuated with him?
